Erin Johnson

Dean of Instruction

Erin Johnson moved to Memphis in 2010 after being recruited to pursue her Masters of Urban Education through Memphis Teacher Residency (MTR). During her residency, she worked at Whitehaven High School as an AP and Art III teacher and assistant girls basketball coach.

In 2011, she was hired at Power Center Academy and served as the art teacher for the middle and high school. Since her hire, Erin has taught 6-8th grade art, Art I, Art II, and AP Art. In addition to her work as an instructional teacher, Erin coached the varsity girls basketball team from 2012-2016, leading the Lady Knights to regionals, and four of her players receiving all-city honors. She also served as the Athletic Director from 2012-2015. She has a deep love and appreciation for the PCAHS community of parents and students and is passionate about the growth of that community both in and outside the classroom.

Erin earned a BA in Art and Design and a BA in Theology and Ministry from Sterling College and a Masters of Urban Education from Union University.
