Community Partnerships

Spotlight: Eden Square Town Center

Cut That Ribbon

Gestalt partners with community-based organizations to develop high performing charter schools alongside larger community revitalization efforts. In one of Gestalt’s key projects, Gestalt Community Schools is working with partners Power Center CDC, New Direction Christian Church, and Habitat for Humanity to redevelop property in Hickory Hill that was once home to a blighted 394-unit apartment complex. Gestalt has built a permanent home for Power Center Academy Middle School, along with a Performing Arts Center open to the community.

In addition to Gestalt’s involvement, the Power Center CDC, a local community development corporation, will build commercial space and a wellness center, and provide property management services and social services for the entire community. Habitat for Humanity will build affordable residential housing. The Eden Square town center will drive commercial sales, residential sales, and social engagement.

We cut the ribbon on Eden Square Phase I on Sept. 17, 2016.
