Teacher Hiring Process

For teachers and teaching assistant positions, the interview process involves five steps:

1. Fill out an application.

2. Participate in a phone interview.

3. Complete video response questions.

4. Teach a lesson at a Gestalt school and participate in a face-to-face interview.

5. Tour a school to experience a day in the life of our scholars.

If you have questions about the process or our network of schools, contact our recruitment team at careers [at] gestaltcs [dot] org.

ESL Hiring Plan and Interview Process

Gestalt Community Schools follows the subject plan for Hiring ESL (English as a Second Language) Teachers for ELLs (English Language Learners). All teachers of any language instruction program for English Language Learners (ELLs) need to be fluent and competent in the four domains of language assessed by the English Language Proficiency Assessment: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Evaluation will be completed based on the criteria listed here.
